Williamson Blueprint News The Williamson Blueprint Community Team attended the first 2-day BC Workshop at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley on April 3-4, 2007. On Tuesday, April 17, 2007 the Williamson Blueprint Community Team and the Williamson Redevelopment Authority met at the Williamson Fire Department to discuss Community Capitals, Assets, Challenging Issues and Opportunities. On Tuesday, May 1, 2007 the Williamson Blueprint Community Team and the Williamson Redevelopment Authority met with our Community Coach, Carole Dawn Brinkley, at the Williamson Fire Department to review and discuss our Community Assessment. The Williamson Blueprint Community Team attended the second 2-day BC Workshop at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley on May 15-16, 2007. The Williamson Blueprint Community Team held a Strategic Planning Meeting on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Williamson Fire Department from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Carole Dawn Brinkley, our Community Coach, facilitated the meeting. On Monday, May 21, 2007, Leigh Ann Wells and Vicki Lusk gave a presentation about the Blueprint Communities to the Williamson Woman's Club at the Brass Tree Restaurant. On Thursday, May 24, 2007, Vicki Lusk gave a presentation about the Blueprint Communities to the Williamson City Council at their regular meeting. On Tuesday, May 29, 2007, Vicki Lusk and Leigh Ann Wells gave a presentation about the Blueprint Communities to the Williamson Rotary Club at the Brass Tree Restaurant. The Williamson Redevelopment Authority & Blueprint Community Team will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Williamson Fire Dept. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
On Monday, June 11, 2007, Vicki Lusk and Tim McNamee gave a presenation about the Blueprint Communities to the Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce.

One day, there was a blind man sitting on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet and a sign that read: "I am blind, please help."
A creative publicist was walking by and stopped to observe. He saw that the blind man had only a few coins in his hat. He dropped in more coins and, without asking for permission, took the sign and rewrote it.
He returned the sign to the blind man and left. That afternoon the publicist returned to the blind man and noticed that his hat was full of bills and coins.
The blind man recognized his footsteps and asked if it was he who had rewritten his sign and wanted to know what he had written on it.
The publicist responded: "Nothing that was not true. I just wrote the message a little differently." He smiled and went on his way.
The new sign read: "Today is Spring and I cannot see it."
